Frequently Asked Questions

Q:  How do I know if my membership is expired?

A:  Your membership is valid from January 1 to December 31 of the year in which you paid your membership fee.  If you have not joined or renewed your NeBAA membership for 2019 your membership and website login will not be active.  All members who were active when the website became available received an email with initial login instructions.

Q:  I can't remember my password.  What do I do?

A:  You can reset your password by using the password reset process located on the Login page.  Select login in the top right-hand corner, then under the Reset Password section enter your e-mail address (this MUST be the email address you used for your membership application), then click the Reset and email password.  You will receive an email containing a link to reset your password.

Q:  My e-mail doesn't work to reset my password?  I enter my e-mail address to reset my password, but nothing ever comes, or the system doesn't recognize my e-mail.  

A:  The site only recognizes the email address you submitted with your membership application, or entered online when joining.  That email address is stored in your member profile.  This is a security measure to protect your account from being changed or disabled by someone other than you.

Q:  I can't remember my User name/E-mail address.  What do I do?

A:  If you cannot remember your user name but do know the e-mail address used in your membership application, you can use the "Reset Password" process on the login page to recover your user name.  Follow the instructions for resetting your password found on this page to retrieve your user name as well as reset your password if necessary.  

If you don't know the e-mail address used in your user profile you will need the websupport staff to assist you.  Your User name cannot be changed/released  without assistance from the NeBAA web support staff.  If you cannot find your User name you will need to contact web support at websupport@nebaa.org .  Because this process will not always be available in a timely manner and will require NeBAA to contact you directly to verify additional information before releasing or changing your User name, we encourage you to make note of your User name/membership email, and keep it in a safe place.

Q:  I want to keep my NeBAA membership, but I don't want my name listed on the Member List available in the NeBAA Members Area.  How do I get my name removed from this list?

A:  We always strive to respect your privacy.  If you would like all of the benefits of your NeBAA membership, but would not like your name displayed on the Member list for networking purposes, please contact us at websupport@nebaa.org and request that your name be removed from this list.  You must provide your Name and Telephone number in your email, and your email must come from the email address used in your membership profile (you can view your profile under the NeBAA Members Area page).  We apologize, but because of system limitations, removing only your e-mail address while leaving your name visible is not available.

Q:  How do I update my personal or professional information, it has changed since I joined NeBAA?

A:  To view/edit your member profile you must first login to NeBAA.org, then open your member profile which can be found in the NeBAA Members Area, or by clicking on your user name shown at the top of the page after "You are logged in as".  You can edit/add/remove information as necessary in your profile.  There are some fields that are required and cannot be removed.  NeBAA members are individuals of high integrity, however as a reminder entering misleading information, or intentionally entering false information is a violation of the Terms of Use and may result in deactivation of website privelages.

Q:  I am following a link from the NeBAA website but the destination site doesn't seem to work on my computer.

A:  Unfortunately we have no control over the function of third party websites and/or their compatibility with various computer systems.  We are always interested in any functional issues you have, especially with nebaa.org.  Once you leave or are redirected away from NeBAA.org we have no control over the content or function of that website.  Please feel free to let us know of any trouble you have while on the NeBAA.org website by emailing us at websupport@nebaa.org.
