The Nebraska Business Aviation Association, in coordination with FlightSafety International and CAE is announcing Annual Flight Training Scholarships as well as a Maintenance Training Scholarship (CAE only) to be awarded to a current NeBAA Member pursuing a career in Business Aviation. The deadline for these scholarships is November 15th, 2024.
FlightSafety International's Offering: One ATP Certification Training Program, facilitated through one of FlightSafety International's Learning Centers. The courses run 5-7 days in length and the participant will be responsible for transportation to and from the training event as well as room and board. HOWEVER, upon successful completion of the course, NeBAA will reimburse the recipient for travel expenses up to $1500. In addition, this scholarship will be valid for a period of one year commencing January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2025. NeBAA strongly recommends scheduling the event as soon as possible. CAE's Offerings: Includes one pilot training event and one maintenance training event (details of maintenance event to be determined). The pilot event will be an ATP-CTP training course. The courses also runs 5-7 days in length and the participant will be responsible for transportation to and from the training event as well as room and board. HOWEVER, upon successful completion of the course, NeBAA will reimburse the recipient for travel expenses up to $1500. In addition, this scholarship will be valid for a period of one year commencing January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2025. NeBAA strongly recommends scheduling the event as soon as possible. NOTE: Please contact us directly with questions regarding the Maintenance scholarships; details are being decided upon at this time.
Please NOTE: the written test for both ATP-CTP flight training scholarships is NOT included. Recipients must schedule their own testing after successfully taking the course.
For the Flight Training Scholarships, the applicant must hold a valid US pilot certificate and meet the following minimum requirements of pilot experience:
For the Maintenance Scholarship, requirements are as follows:
The applicant must submit the following application materials in order to be considered for this award:
- a faculty member of their college experience, or
- an employer, or
- an aviation professional reference.
2. Provide a typed essay, at least 500 words describing your flight experience, your goals and why you are interested in a Business and Corporate Aviation career
